Tina the Builder

Tina Weede is fascinated by the human condition and how engagement and recogntion drive performance. Her resilience is inspiring, and her ability to respond with game-changing innovations in the human resource space always makes for a delightful conversation. For several years with the SITE Foundation she has been deeply involved in the research produced, and the results speak for themselves, as we continue as an industry to benefit from the data we have today.

I first met Tina when I arrived new to my role with SITE in Bangkok for our 2019 Global Conference. After finding each other in a crowded airport, we found we were sharing a car to our hotel, and I tucked my tiny suitcase beside her more ‘reasonably sized for international travel’ suitcase. What I learned then is I should take Tina’s lead as she always looks fabulous, with great shoulders and a killer welcome smile for all.

Tina’s “handle” from one of our trips this past year was Mother Goose – because she always takes care of everyone around her. A mother herself who has done a remarkable job of braving the raising of teens, Tina is truly a role model for tough love.
