Alicia Yao – Yoda

Alicia Yao arrived at our SITE Global conference in Vancouver this year prepared to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, This coincided with our conference’s opening day, and she brought stuffed animals which represented what she gleefully referred to as the “Year of MICE”. The MICE industry is one Alicia knows well, as she has been a great supporter in China and abroad, supporting education and certifications, and bringing the right people together in meaningful destinations.

I always see Alicia at events around the world, and look forward to one day being able to see her in her home country, and a place I hold fond memories of. She brings a unique and balanced perspective to our SITE board, steeped in her knowledge of not just the Asian market, but the globe. Alicia is a mother, a connector and always has a ready smile, and an idea to share. Make sure to say hello when we all get to see her next.
