Elegantly Ellie

You cannot be a meeting planner in Canada (and farther afield) without knowing who Ellie MacPherson is, she has simply mentored too many people across her career. Growing the next generation of travel professionals and planners is something she believes deeply in, and acts upon. When I was able to spend time with Ellie and get to know her a bit more wasin 2015 as she was inducted into the Meetings Canada Hall of Fame for her many contributions over the years to the landscape of meeting and incentive travel. With SITE she is incredibly active on the board and works tirelessly on programs including the Crystal Awards, always seeking to find and reward excellence in our ranks.

Ellie is a lover of travel, and has spanned much of the globe for her clients and their programs, to participate in industry events and to simply enjoy the pleasures travel brings. From a hot air balloon basket to an elephant sanctuary, wineries to the iconic TWA Connie Lounge, Ellie finds joy in exploration. At home, she enjoys wines of many varietals, time and meals with friends and nieghbours and her playful kitten. We know she will be out there again leading the way as we reopen the world, and we cannot wait to see her out there soon.
