Jessie States

Jessie is one of the smartest meeting designers I know, always looking for ways to improve the human condition at meetings. Within her role at MPI she and her colleagues can both test and share these ideas and knowledge with many others in the industry. They generously use their meetings as a testing playground and we are richer for it. Her exuberance for design is catching, and the many ways she invites collaboration is inspiring. Her ability to look at the many facets of events and the organizations they serve, and to provide guidance on best practices is something we are lucky to be able to access.

What I enjoy most with Jessie is sitting down for a glass of wine and just listening to her brilliance, talking about puppies, travel and whatever might come up and generally sharing some truly hearty laughs! Does anyone else remember the IMEX where she had broken her foot and still navigated through sheer stubbornness the entire event? It is this persistence, passion and knowledge that see her earning the Events Industry Council Pacesetter award during IMEX America this year, and she has certainly earned this.
