Marvelous Mariela

A pacesetter, author, planner, sustainability expert, highly engaged mother, wife and daughter, and a wonderful friend to many. That’s a good start on the many ways Mariela has impacted the people who are both in and outside of the event industry. In addition to several books on sustainability, she was responsible for bringing together the 9^th edition of the CIC manual which any recent CMPs will be familiar with. Her ongoing work continues to create impact with issues important to the event industry as we continue to redefine the value we hold as an industry. Her warmth and willingness to help professionals in their lives and careers, and to connect the dots between people who can work together to drive change is remarkable.
