Alissa Hurley, the Comet

Alissa Hurley is smart, gorgeous and endlessly curious about how to make events the best investment an organization can make. We have had strangely parallel paths through meeting planning, event  technology and a number of shared interests we continue to uncover. We first ‘met’ as #eventprofs on Twitter and while it was years before we met IRL, we haven’t stopped talking since then! I admire how Alissa is fun and yet practical and thoughtful about life and how to manage anything that comes her way. She is also one of the few people I have happily practiced yoga with, poolside in New Orleans before heading over to the Collision Conference. She loves puppies enough to own a kennel, understands the magic in a piece of live-edge wood and is always ready for a beaver tail. I love when our paths cross. Oh, and I chose this picture because I LOVE how enthusiastically both she and the FMAV team approached this 80’s themed event at ILEALive in Calgary (2017).
